Our Work
We chose ‘Let’s Link mental wellbeing’ as our website name to reflect our partnership working and collaboration with patients/service users and other individuals and with national and local statutory, private and voluntary organisations.
Our objectives include:
- to promote and campaign for the empowerment, involvement, social inclusion and well-being of people who suffer mental illness, and increase awareness of the underlying causes that impact on their mental wellbeing
- to support and further gender equality in mental health and allied areas with a view to improved services for women and men who suffer mental distress
- to put the patient/service user at the heart of planning, informing and influencing service culture and development
- to promote the involvement of patients / service users in monitoring mental health and allied services
- to build on the growing awareness of the synergy between a person’s mental and physical health and how one can have a positive or negative affect on the other
